Why ceramic

Darkness is not the same as heat

A 5% dyed film looks aggressive and still bakes you. Heat is mostly infrared, and rejecting it is a property of the film's ceramic particles — not how dark it is. That's why a legal 35% ceramic often feels cooler than illegal 20% dyed.

Nano-ceramic particles reject infrared without metal, so GPS, keyfobs, and cell signal pass through untouched.

Computer-cut, never razor-cutYour glass is plotted from a database and cut on a machine. No blade touches your defroster lines or door seals.
Heat-shrunk on the outsideRear glass is curved in two directions. We shrink film to the exact contour before it goes in, which is why it lays flat with no fingers.
Edge-to-edge coverageFilm runs under the top seal, so there is no light gap at the top of the door glass when the window is up.
Lifetime, transferable warrantyBubbling, peeling, cracking, and color change are covered by the manufacturer in your name.

Utah law, current

What you can legally run

Utah Code 41-6a-1635 was amended in 2022. A lot of shops still quote the old 43% number — the current front-side minimum is 35%, and an officer's meter allows a 5% variance.

Passenger cars, SUVs, vans, and trucks are all treated the same in Utah. Verify with Utah Highway Patrol before installation.

How it runs

Two hours, start to keys

01

Quote

Send your year, make, and model. Fixed price back the same day, no phone tag.

02

Glass prep

Every window is cleaned, clayed, and squeegeed. Contamination under film is permanent, so this is where the time goes.

03

Plot and shrink

Patterns are cut from your exact vehicle and heat-shrunk to the curve of the glass.

04

Install and inspect

Film goes in edge-to-edge, then gets inspected under LED before your keys come back.

Tint questions

Before you book

What is the legal tint limit in Utah?

Front side windows must let through at least 35% of visible light, with a 5% variance allowed for meter calibration. Rear side windows and the back glass have no darkness limit as long as you have both side mirrors. The full face of the windshield must stay at 70% or clearer, with any darkness allowed above the AS-1 line.

Will darker film keep the car cooler?

Barely. Most cabin heat is infrared, and rejecting infrared is a property of the ceramic particles in the film, not how dark it looks. A legal 35% ceramic routinely outperforms an illegal 20% dyed film. Darkness buys you privacy and glare control, not temperature.

How long before I can roll the windows down?

Three days in summer, up to a week in winter. The mounting adhesive needs to release its moisture, and rolling a window down early can slide the film. Small water pockets and a slight haze during that window are normal and clear on their own.

Will tint interfere with my phone, keyfob, or GPS?

Not with the films we install. Older metallised films used a sputtered metal layer that blocked signal. Nano-ceramic film rejects heat with non-conductive particles, so cell, GPS, keyless entry, and radar detectors all pass through untouched.

Can you tint a windshield?

Yes, with a clear or near-clear 70% ceramic that is legal across the full face. It is one of the best value upgrades on the car — the windshield is your largest piece of glass and it is what cooks your hands and dashboard.

Why is my film hazy the day I pick it up?

That is water in the adhesive, not a defect. It looks like faint milkiness or small pockets and it disappears as the film cures. If anything is still visible after a week in warm weather, bring it back and we will look at it.

Do you use pre-cut patterns or hand-cut?

Patterns are plotted from a database against your exact year, make, and model and cut on a machine. No blade goes near your glass, your defroster lines, or your door seals. Rear glass is then heat-shrunk to the contour before it goes in.

What is included in the price?

All door glass, the rear window, and the windshield strip. Sunroofs and full windshields are add-ons and are listed separately on the pricing table. Removal of existing film is quoted on top, because the time varies enormously.
